Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) Consolidations

Concepts To Operations has worked with a wide variety of municipal organizations on assessments of their Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) and what is the optimal settings for providing call-taking and dispatch services.  From review and analysis of an entire state’s system (58 individual PSAPs) to small 2-3 site systems, CTO has provided that in-depth assessment of optimal efficiency for operations and funding.

Since the last recession, many jurisdictions are again looking to utilize limited financial and personnel resources to provide the optimal level of service.  Some states have used the threat of withdrawal of funds from 9-1-1 surcharges as a “stick” to overcome “turf and resistance” to needed changes in the delivery of services.

The CTO team includes members who have served at all levels of functions at dispatch centers in different locations across the country.  Our team includes call-takers, dispatchers, supervisors, directors and board members, each of whom bring unique perspectives to our projects.  The team is also up to date on the latest versions of CAD and RMS software.  Members of the team continue to maintain their NENA certifications.
